During the searches of the family of the People’s Deputy from the “European Solidarity” Nina Yuzhanina, an “extrajudicial robbery” actually occurred, since there were no legal prerequisites for carrying out such actions, which in turn indicates political persecution.

This was stated on the air of “Pryamoy” by lawyer Konstantin Globa.

“Firstly, for myself, I conditionally call such searches extrajudicial robbery in reality. If you look at the law, then there really is such a right of law enforcement agencies to conduct searches without a warrant. But these are exceptional cases that must necessarily be associated with the immediate rescue of property. That’s when something happened, and the law enforcement agency immediately needs to rescue this property… And what need has there been to rescue property now, when this criminal case has been investigated for a long time? It looks, to put it mildly, dubious,” Globa noted.

At the same time, he emphasized that there are no legal prerequisites for conducting such searches in this case, so everything seems to indicate that what actually happened was an “extrajudicial robbery.”

“That is, today it is clear that these actions are not legal. I have a question: were they “rescuing property” from three minor children for six hours? Objectively, what was happening? Were they saving some documents, money, taking money away, right? Money from the family was “rescued” from minor children. Objectively, it looks like this. It seems to me that this fact is also extremely dubious from a legal point of view,” the lawyer added.

According to Globa, these searches are related to the political activities of the European Solidarity party, since from a legal point of view, such actions are nonsense and do not fall within the limits of the legislation.

“In fact, it looks like this. In fact, when politicians raise certain issues and immediately after that an urgent search takes place, where money is immediately saved from three young children – sorry, but this is how it looks and it objectively looks like this. To date, I have not seen any official position of law enforcement agencies. I have not seen why the money was seized. I have not seen a position on what exactly the urgent search was conducted without a warrant,” the lawyer explains.

“To be honest, from a legal point of view, these actions are nonsense. If they are nonsense, if they do not fit within the boundaries of the law and the concept of “so permitted”, then accordingly we can talk about banal political pressure, about political repression, anything, because that’s what it looks like,” Globa emphasized.

The day before, investigators from the State Bureau of Investigation came to the son of the People’s Deputy from the European Solidarity faction, Nina Yuzhanina, with an “urgent search.” They arrived at the apartment where three minor children were staying, and stayed there for six hours. The son was not informed of the suspicion. The deputies and lawyers stated about a certain psychological terror.

“The searches of the son of the People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Nina Yuzhanina in the presence of three young children are the result of the work of this “special group” in continuing the campaign of intimidation of our team. It has already become a “tradition” when they burst in at six in the morning for a search, without any court decision, and even by “Portnov’s investigative group,” the political force said in a statement .

Recall that on May 16 , searches were carried out in the apartment of Ukrainian diplomat Konstantin Yeliseyev . His daughter’s apartment was also searched. The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv issued a warrant for the investigators’ actions. The search of Yeliseyev’s apartment began at 8 a.m. and lasted almost 7 hours. The lawyers said that they want to link the diplomat to the so-called “Kharkiv Agreements.”

Later, Ukrainian diplomat Valeriy Chaly stated on the air of the Pryamiy TV channel that the recent searches of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) at Konstantin Yeliseyev’s house in connection with the so-called “Kharkiv Agreements” of 2010 were a big mistake that harmed Ukraine’s European integration .

According to People’s Deputy Oleg Synyutka, the real reason for the searches of the famous diplomat Konstantin Yeliseyev was the political persecution of the fifth president Petro Poroshenko and those who have a different position from the current government. Moreover, such actions of the State Bureau of Investigation destroy the trust of Western allies and hinder movement towards the European Union.
