Restaurateur Misha Katsurin reported that he was poisoned in his restaurant in Lviv. In addition to him, 11 other guests of the establishment reported similar symptoms.
He wrote about this on Instagram.
“I was poisoned in my own restaurant in Lviv. And, unfortunately, I was not the only one. As of now, 11 guests have reported symptoms of poisoning. The preliminary hypothesis is eggs and egg cream in desserts on July 14 and 15,” the statement says.
The restaurant is currently temporarily closed. The owner reported that:
- called the sanitary service – the products, surfaces and personnel were checked;
- all products in the establishment will be disposed of regardless of the results;
- All victims are compensated for their treatment costs – the team keeps in touch with everyone who contacts them.
Katsurin added that over the course of 10 years, his team had served hundreds of thousands of customers, maintaining high quality standards. However, this year’s heat and the prevalence of summer “outbreaks” of foodborne illnesses could have caused the incident.
“We will do everything to help everyone who was poisoned, we will do everything to make something like this impossible in the future. Sorry, Lvov. We are terribly sorry. We will do everything and more to make things right!” Katsurin said.
