The fifth President of Ukraine and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, while saying goodbye to Andriy Parubiy, said that he embodied in his brother a true Ukrainian nationalist, a true patriot.

“Look how all of Ukraine has risen up now, paying homage and respect to Andriy. Yesterday, 10,000 people gathered on the Maidan in Kyiv for a commemoration rally. True Ukrainians gathered in all regional centers to honor Andriy. Who killed him? From the first second, we had no doubt – Pusnya, Putin. And the fifth column of Russians inside our state. For what? For Ukraine, for Maidan, for freedom, for freedom, for democracy,” the fifth President is convinced.
“Why did they kill him? First, they were afraid of him. Just as they are afraid of all of us, Ukrainians. Second, they wanted to intimidate us by killing him. And it is up to us to demonstrate that they definitely did not succeed. And they will not succeed. They killed him because they wanted to destroy Ukraine. And we here, next to Andriy, must promise – we will not let what Andriy lived for be destroyed. They wanted to sow discord and discord within. I ask you to always remember that the dream, idea and meaning of Andriy’s life was a united Ukraine, which no one will be able to split. We must do everything to preserve this dream, no matter who attacks us and how,” Poroshenko said.
“His main achievements are the Army, which received legislative support, was created in 2014 through the efforts of the president, government, and parliament. The language for which he lived is not just the adoption of laws, but the real protection of the language. The language has received a new life, quotas for films, quotas for books, quotas for songs, all this is the result of our joint actions, the result of Andriy. And Vira. This is not only the Tomos, the creation of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the transfer of parishes. Today, no one has any doubts that the Moscow Church must be thrown out of Ukraine,” Petro Poroshenko is convinced.
“This is what he dreamed of. And we will continue this cause, the cause of Ukraine, which after the Revolution of Dignity cut off the Russian shackles and is moving forward into Europe. We must complete this cause – both with the EU and with NATO. Of course, it will be incredibly difficult for us without Andriy. But he will be with us, I believe in it. He will be with us as long as we remember him and as long as we complete his deeds,” Petro Poroshenko said.
