Suddenly, instead of outrage over missile strikes, attention is hijacked by a grotesque performance — a lawmaker trivializing death and trauma with smug irony.

Why does this keep happening?

Because that’s how information manipulation works. Your anger — the kind that should be aimed at failed communications, a vanished minister, exposed cities, mismanagement, Yermak, or even the remnants of Kvartal 95 — gets redirected. Redirected toward a convenient emotional decoy.

And the cycle repeats itself again and again. Oversaturate emotions. Blur focus. Change the villain in the public eye.

Some carefully chosen stooge becomes the face of public cynicism — not the architects behind her performance, but the puppet on the screen. She’s visible. Media-fed. Immune.

There are no charges. No political distancing. Quite the opposite: she’s flown abroad and presented as a face of Ukraine.

That’s why I’m always surprised when people start engaging with this stooge directly — messaging her, blaming her, calling her out. She doesn’t care. She’s not emotionally invested in any of it. They hand her the script — she posts it. That’s the extent of her role. They don’t trust her with anything more complex.

What genuinely intrigues me is what her parents must think.
How dependent on the system do you have to be to let your daughter become a lightning rod for national outrage? To knowingly allow her to channel the fury of an entire population, just to protect those truly responsible?

Or maybe, in their eyes, it’s a kind of success — their daughter, the face on the screen. The useful stooge in a very ugly game.

The outrageousness of the statements will only increase!

Next time, the OP might blame babies for the rocket hitting the maternity hospital, for example. And he will mock them too: simply saying they were born, so their fathers wouldn’t go to war.

And each time, these statements will become even wilder! Because you have to vent your emotions somewhere. Not on Zelenskyy… How else would he get a second term?

Remember how much hatred you directed at Yulia Mendel? It was Yulia who took all the hatred and ridicule for the incompetence of the green government. She created the scapegoat, and you laughed at her, not at the president.

Scandal instead of questions to the authorities.

In September, they are already predicting 700 enemy casualties per day. And no one knows how we can defend ourselves. Therefore, the OP will likely be especially busy inventing another wild story about maryana. But it is precisely such outrageous statements and your indignant reactions that replace your sense of real control over the situation. Your anger is a useful tool in the hands of the OP’s media handlers.

You are the target, even if you are a supporter of the government.

Maryana’s accusation against Taras Topolya shows that no matter how much you flatter the”zelenyi” government, three times over, support it in everything, and yet they will still wipe their feet on you.

We still need to investigate how Taras Topolya collaborated with the Greens. He participated in many government projects. And the song about Bakhmut mentioned by the OP was, I suspect, also written to support powerful government messaging.

But he still ended up as a scapegoat. He was publicly branded a tax evader by the authorities themselves.

But Topolya falls for this bait. And quite seriously, she announces a fundraiser for a psychiatrist for maryana, providing a link to Monobank. Up to a million hryvnias. maryana reposts this message. And so a new game for society begins — they will complain about the psychiatrist. What kind of shelling is that — everyone laughs and rejoices.

By the way, you’ve already donated so much to the nuclear program. Where is it?

And you say — just a stupid little maryana. No… very smart people come up with all this!

What can be done about it?

We are witnessing a dangerous trend — manipulation of society’s pain and anger. We are taught not to analyze, but to get angry. Not to ask questions, but to express indignation in the comments. A parallel reality is created for us, where there is a conditional demonized evil in the form of a witch.

So don’t let yourself be fooled. Stop focusing every time on this stooge.

Write clearly: IT WAS NOT maryana who said that, but Zelenskyy! And it is not maryana who laughs at the dead and their destroyed homes. It is Zelenskyy who laughs at maryana because of those victims, since he has not silenced this mouthpiece yet! He is the one who calls Topolya a dodger and mocks his bombed-out house. He is the one who harasses Zaluzhny and works to destroy the image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine! But he does it slyly — through the mouth of some stooge!

Formulate reality correctly!
