On the night of February 7, Russian drones targeted a Roshen warehouse in the city of Yagotyn in the Kyiv region, setting a huge area ablaze. Thus, Russia began a targeted attack on enterprises that finance the Ukrainian army.

The details of the incident and the significant losses to the community were reported by Mykola Velychkovych, a member of parliament from the European Solidarity faction, who visited the scene.

“It’s painful to watch how a large enterprise, which employs a large number of people and pays taxes, is actually destroyed. A large territory has been destroyed, not only products have been destroyed, but the expectations of the military, who received weapons, salaries, and military equipment through taxes, have been destroyed,” the People’s Deputy said.

According to him, the Russian Federation has changed its bombing tactics, focusing on destroying large businesses that fill the state treasury. Velychkovych emphasizes that this destruction will also be felt by the local budget, since the company remains one of the largest official taxpayers in the country.

“We see a new stage, where Russia is starting to crack down on those enterprises that fill their budget through taxes, which create such pressure, visible pressure on society,” the studio guest noted.

The politician recalled that this is not the first case of an attack on civilian production. Previously, a drone hit a factory in Kyiv, which resulted in the death and injury of people.

According to Velychkovych, the aggressor is trying to undermine Ukraine’s economic stability by attacking logistics and production sites. However, he noted that such a strategy does not achieve its goal, as society and rescue services demonstrate high cohesion and professionalism in overcoming the consequences.

As a reminder, a fire broke out in a warehouse in the city of Yagotyn, Kyiv region, after a night attack by Russian drones on February 7. People’s Deputy from the European Solidarity party Oleksiy Honcharenko said that the warehouses were owned by the Roshen factory. The company’s logistics center is located in Yagotyn.

Subsequently, the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, reacted to the massive Russian shelling of Ukraine by stating that Russia was attacking civilian infrastructure and trying to break Ukrainians. He emphasized that the purpose of the attacks was to put psychological and economic pressure on society. Poroshenko noted that during the night attack, Russia was not striking military targets, but civilian infrastructure.
