Bridge War: Where Symbolism Ends and Logistics Begins

After the attacks on Kyiv, everyone logically thought about the Crimean Bridge again. But, apart from the totemic function and purely moral satisfaction, its elimination will have minimal logistical consequences.

However, there is another city and other bridges in the area of impact from the sky, the elimination of which will simply stop Russian rail and road (and, as a bonus, sea) logistics.
Rostov-on-Don. There are five different bridges across the Don in total, but two (and a half) are actually important.

The first is a drawbridge railway bridge. (marked 1). It is the main one from the point of view of industrial railway logistics. Its liquidation or significant damage stops the railway and shipping. Oops. Nearby is a road bridge – also one of the main arteries.

The second is a bridge in the railway area (marked 2). Combined railway and road. The second point and that’s it. Russian tanks travel by rail for about 1000 km. Freight transport too. The land corridor turns into a total traffic jam.

The other bridges are in any order. The main thing is not to break them, but to make them dangerous to cross.

Further, from Rostov all the logistics go to the front. How it will go without these bridges is a question. Although, more precisely, the answer.
