On the night of December 6, Ukrainian drones again attacked the Rosneft oil refinery in Ryazan, one of the key suppliers of fuel to Moscow and the region. This is the ninth strike on the enterprise since the beginning of the year and the third in the past month.

This is reported by The Moscow Times.

Governor Pavlo Malkov confirmed the fact of an attack on one of the industrial facilities in the region, but assured that there were no serious consequences.

According to the official, the situation is under control. “There are no casualties or serious damage, material damage is being assessed,” the governor said, specifying that only “fragments” of the UAV allegedly fell on the territory.

At the same time, according to information from monitoring channels, the damage could be much more serious. Sources inform about the probable damage to the Izomalk-2-LIN-800 low-temperature isomerization unit, which converts gasoline fractions into a high-octane component. Other data indicate damage to the “key” catalytic cracking/reforming hydrotreating unit.

Observers note that if this information is confirmed, it could cause the entire plant to shut down. The Ryazan refinery, with a design capacity of 17.1 million tons of oil per year, is one of the largest in Russia and produces, among other things, aviation fuel to meet the needs of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

As a reminder, on the night of December 5, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked important facilities in two Russian regions . The General Staff confirmed that, in particular, the infrastructure of the Temryutsk seaport in the Krasnodar Territory was hit. There, general, liquid (liquefied natural gas and chemical cargoes), bulk and bulk cargoes are shipped.

It was previously reported that unknown drones attacked two Russian regions , hitting a seaport and an oil refinery.
