People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Rostyslav Pavlenko, on the air of “Pryamy” , sharply criticized the circumstances of the departure from the country of Timur Mindich, a key figure in the case of corruption in the energy sector, initiated by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

He expressed surprise at how a person involved in such a large-scale scandal could leave Ukraine, while other citizens, including parliamentarians and public figures, face significant obstacles to leaving.

“Where is Mindich? How did it happen that he left the country? Who warned him? Who allowed him? How did he leave?” asks Pavlenko, emphasizing the lack of public explanations regarding this incident.

At the same time, the MP drew parallels with other cases of high-ranking officials leaving without proper investigation or explanation. “Obviously, a very serious reaction is needed now. We won’t be able to remain silent like this, because we have heard a lot of loud phrases…” – Pavlenko noted.

According to the MP, this incident raises doubts about the effectiveness of border control and the state’s ability to prevent the escape of persons involved in crimes. Pavlenko is convinced that this is a serious challenge to national security, demanding immediate and strict explanations from the responsible authorities.

We will remind that on November 10, detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted searches at the home of businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio, Timur Mindich, who is an associate of President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, the person involved in the case left the territory of Ukraine a few hours before the searches .

It was previously reported that NABU and SAPO are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas” to expose corruption in the energy sector. According to the investigation, the activities of a high-level criminal organization were established, which controlled financial flows and personnel decisions in state energy structures. In particular, law enforcement officers conducted searches at the home of former Energy Minister German Galushchenko and at JSC “NAEK “Energoatom” .

Meanwhile, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the investigation into the corruption scheme in the energy sector. “Any effective action against corruption is very necessary. The inevitability of punishment is necessary,” the head of state noted.
