Not just the Russian trace: who ordered the murder of Andriy Parubiy

There are two main versions of the murder of public and political figure Andriy Parubiy: the order of Russian special services, which continue to work actively in Ukraine, as well as the activities of anti-Ukrainian forces within the state, which are also interested in eliminating famous politicians.

This opinion was expressed on the air by political and economic expert Zynoviy Svereda.

“Unfortunately, we haven’t cleaned up the agents for quite some time. We haven’t had proper, in fact, neutralization of enemy agents, but besides that, there are a lot of Zhduns among us. This will continue, because they will actually shoot back… and after the war there will be a big question about the work of the special services. Because they, especially the Russian ones, will continue this after the war. Remember, after World War II they killed Bandera, Rebet, and many others, from bishops to intellectuals, abroad – in the USA, Canada and Europe,” Svereda noted.

In addition to the Russian trace in the murder of Andriy Parubiy, according to him, one can also consider the activities of anti-Ukrainian forces within the state.

“I wouldn’t say that there is only a Russian trace here. Because there are a lot of anti-state and anti-Ukrainian forces inside Ukraine. Because many people believe that, for example, according to our theory and practice, the Ukrainian people should become state-building in Ukraine. But there are a lot of those who wanted to sell it all out, give it away, and it is very important for them to level and destroy the leaders, both regional and national, so that a normal change of power does not come. That is, I would consider two main versions,” explains political expert Zynoviy Svereda.

As a reminder, on August 30, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and MP from the European Solidarity party Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv. He was one of the symbols of resistance to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Later it became known that the shooter was being sought in the Lviv region, and a photo of the alleged killer was published on the Internet. According to eyewitnesses,the shooter was a courier from the Glovo service, who then hid the gun in his bag. A video of the moment of the murder of the MP also appeared on social networks.

In connection with this, a special operation “Siren” was announced in Lviv. The media instead reported that the police had allegedly already tracked down the criminal .

The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, people’s deputies, the apparatus and its employees expressed condolences in connection with the murder of Andriy Parubiy, a people’s deputy of several convocations and the chairman of the parliament of the 8th convocation. European officials also commented on this crime, calling it terrible.

Later, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the murder of the People’s Deputy and former Speaker of the Parliament Andriy Parubiy was carefully prepared . According to him, the SBU is also involved in the investigation. The head of state also instructed to immediately provide the society with verified information.

Meanwhile, the European Solidarity faction made an official statement regarding the death of Andriy Parubiy. Colleagues and friends reacted to the murder, calling it cynical and cruel . “The murder of Andriy Parubiy is a shot in the heart of Ukraine ,” stressed the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
