True Unity or Tactical Illusion: When “Together” Becomes the Enemy’s Game

Once again, amid heavy enemy strikes and the inevitable questions to those in power — about their own promises of “clear skies,” “a million drones,” and “thousands of missiles” — we hear the same tired refrain: “Don’t criticize, it’s not the time, it’s IPSO.”
Who, if not the masters of stand-up in power, should understand the power of words, scripts, and imagery? They rose to power through relentless criticism — and are now trying to hold onto it by inventing an “internal enemy.”
But war demands a different logic. “Shut up, you don’t understand” is both humiliating and ineffective. People want — and have the right — to know the answers to their questions.
Countering Russian IPSO — which undoubtedly exists — is not about labeling or silencing. The constant drumbeat of praise and the suppression of problems only create a parallel information reality.
Rumors, gossip, and fantasies — that is the enemy’s ammunition. So stop acting like a Soviet propaganda bureau. Admit that problems exist. Restore open, rational discussion in the media about solutions — that, more than anything, neutralizes Kremlin disinformation.
But that’s not what we see. It’s easier this way. It’s easier for the President’s Office to think that “Poroshenko is to blame for everything.” And when reality finally hits them in the face, it will be too late.
