Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov increasingly refers to the “special military operation” as a full-scale war. However, calling the SVO a war is prohibited by law in Russia.
In particular, Peskov called the “SVO” a full-scale war in one of his interviews, which he gave in English.
Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council’s Center for Countering Disinformation, believes this isn’t just a “verbal construct”: “This is a deliberate information campaign to prepare the Russian population for the mobilization the Russian Federation is considering for the fall. And also for the restrictions it will bring, including a ban on leaving the Russian Federation.”
According to Kovalenko, Russians should begin leaving the country now, since a Russian soldier’s lifespan at the front is 15 to 30 minutes.
Earlier, Kovalenko explained why mobilization will not help Russia change the course of the war in its favor.
