In September 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to strike Russian military facilities in the operational rear. According to the published data of the General Staff, during the month, more than 30 air defense, radar and electronic warfare facilities, more than 40 control points, as well as more than 50 warehouses and logistics facilities were hit.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

In addition, the Ukrainian military struck more than 20 infrastructure facilities related to the storage, training, production , and use of drones. The Ministry of Defense notes that such strikes weaken the combat capabilities of the Russian army, disrupt the management of units , and complicate the supply of troops.

Which Russian air defense systems were hit?

One of the priorities of the Ukrainian military remains the destruction or damage of Russian air defense, radar, and electronic warfare systems .

In September , the Defense Forces struck two launchers of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, a multifunctional radar station 92N6 from the S-400 warehouse in Sochi, a Buk-M3 complex in Zaporizhia, as well as the Pantsir-S1 and Pantsir-S2 anti- aircraft missile and gun systems .

The Russian radar stations “ Nebo-U”, “ Nebo-SV”, “ Podlyot”, “ Kasta”, P-18 and other radar facilities were also hit .

Among the affected electronic warfare and technical intelligence facilities are the Krasukha-4 mobile electronic warfare station and the Grenadier automated technical intelligence posts .

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the destruction of these systems limits the ability of Russian troops to control airspace and counter Ukrainian weapons of destruction.

Ukrainian military hit Russian drones ‘ infrastructure

During the month, the Defense Forces repeatedly attacked the storage, training , and launch sites of Geranium and Gerbera type strike drones in the Donetsk region , as well as in other temporarily occupied territories and in Russia.

Dozens of drone control points , ground repeaters , and other elements of the UAV control system were hit .

In particular, in Petropavlivka in Luhansk Oblast, the training center for drone operators of the “ Akhmat” unit was hit , in Seversko-Donetsk – a place of UAV production , and near the Saki airfield in occupied Crimea – a ground control station for reconnaissance and strike drones “ Orion”.

The destruction of this infrastructure should reduce the Russian military’s ability to use drones for reconnaissance and attacks in Ukraine.

Strikes on warehouses and military logistics of the Russian Federation

In September, Ukrainian military forces attacked ammunition, logistics, and fuel depots, repair bases , and storage sites for weapons and military equipment.

In total , more than 50 such facilities were hit in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and in the border regions of Russia.

In addition, near Vladyslavivka in occupied Crimea, a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal, which Russian troops used for military transportation, was hit .

The Ministry of Defense notes that strikes on warehouses, repair bases , and other logistics facilities make it difficult to provide support to Russian units on the front line.

Russian planes, helicopters and boats were hit

Other military targets attacked in September included the Russian air force, navy , and defense industry .

A Su-24 aircraft was hit at the Saki airfield in occupied Crimea . Also, during the month, the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 aircraft and a Ka-27 helicopter was confirmed .

In Sevastopol, the BK-16 landing craft and the Project 12150 high-speed patrol boat “ Mongoose” were hit .

In Snizhne, Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian military personnel struck a machine-building plant that the Russian defense industry uses to produce military products .

It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and approved 650 unmanned aerial systems for use in the Defense Forces since the beginning of 2026. Most of them are manufactured by Ukrainian companies.
