Bankova’s Telegram garbage channels have officially switched to pre-election mode. The slogan of the day seems to be: “Woke up? Throw it on the fan!” Yesterday, these Moscow-linked channels gleefully spread another piece of nonsense—claiming that Poroshenko is “doing PR on the Ukrainian language, even though he himself is Russian-speaking.” And this, of course, on the Day of the Ukrainian Language.
This isn’t even a smear anymore—it’s a full-blown clinic. Under Poroshenko, the language law was passed, quotas for Ukrainian songs were enforced, and Russian social networks, films, and TV series were blocked. He was the one who launched the Ukrainization of the airwaves, which Bankova now timidly wants to roll back.
And who was producing Matchmakers with Russian funding at the time? Who starred in Russian TV series and performed at Gazprom corporate events? That’s right—the very same “defenders of morality” from the quarter maintenance.
The most disgusting thing is that the same hands that spread Kremlin talking points in 2019 are now doing it under the brand name “The media reminded us.” Yes, they reminded us that reason and conscience are optional when it’s so easy to take money for dirt.
The irony of fate: writing in Russian to a Russian messenger about Poroshenko’s “language sin” in the middle of a war with Russia. This is no longer propaganda—it’s masochism disguised as editorial policy.
But the Bankova fan has one flaw: when it spins too fast, everything it throws flies straight back, right into the faces of those who set it in motion. Although what kind of face is left at this point? Those who fling filth have long since lost their human face.
