The fifth column was furious at the sight of Parubiy: who ordered the murder of the politician

The murder of Andriy Parubiy is either Moscow or their henchmen inside Ukraine who seek to divide the country. Parubiy was a loyal statesman, which is why he was hated by the Kremlin and the fifth column for his active participation in revolutions and defense of Ukrainian identity.

This was stated on the air of “Pryamoy” by the People’s Deputy from “European Solidarity” Iryna Gerashchenko.

“Andriy was a statesman. He was ready to die for Ukraine. He was killed for Ukraine. He was hated by Moscow and the Kremlin’s fifth column, because Andriy was an active participant in all Ukrainian revolutions, and without his leadership, the law on the language would probably not have been adopted. He did everything to protect Ukrainian identity, for decolonization,” Gerashchenko emphasized.

She recalls how Andriy Parubiy constantly defended state interests, despite persecution and criminal cases.

“He was a desperate man who, during the ratification of the Kharkiv Agreements, threw checkers at the presidium to stop it. Then the Yanukovych regime opened the first criminal case against him, threatening him with prison. But he was from a family of Soviet political repressed people, his grandfather was in the UPA. And you know, Andriy was a very good friend. He repeatedly repeated, especially after 2022, that the key mission, the historical mission of our generation is to preserve Ukrainian statehood, not to repeat the mistakes of the last century, when political elites lost their chance for statehood due to their quarrels,” the People’s Deputy said.

Gerashchenko emphasizes that behind this murder, either the Kremlin or a fifth column seeking to split Ukraine is obviously behind it.

“Unfortunately, Andriy was not in the marathon in recent years, he was not given the floor to hear the true wisdom of a man who was one of the founders of the current Ukrainian statehood. We want to talk a lot about Andriy today, because the country should remember that as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, he was directly involved in the formation of the National Guard, the creation of volunteer battalions, and the creation of essentially new defense forces. Moscow hated him. It is obvious that either Moscow, its henchmen, or an internal enemy who seeks to split the country is behind this murder,” said Iryna Gerashchenko, a member of parliament from Eurosolidarity.

As a reminder, on August 30, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and MP from the European Solidarity party Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv. He was one of the symbols of resistance to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Later it became known that the shooter was being sought in the Lviv region, and a photo of the alleged killer was published on the Internet. According to eyewitnesses,the shooter was a courier from the Glovo service, who then hid the gun in his bag. A video of the moment of the murder of the MP also appeared on social networks.

In connection with this, a special operation “Siren” was announced in Lviv. The media instead reported that the police had allegedly already tracked down the criminal .

The leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, people’s deputies, the apparatus and its employees expressed condolences in connection with the murder of Andriy Parubiy, a people’s deputy of several convocations and the chairman of the parliament of the 8th convocation. European officials also commented on this crime, calling it terrible.

Later, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the murder of the People’s Deputy and former Speaker of the Parliament Andriy Parubiy was carefully prepared . According to him, the SBU is also involved in the investigation. The head of state also instructed to immediately provide the society with verified information.

Meanwhile, the European Solidarity faction made an official statement regarding the death of Andriy Parubiy. Colleagues and friends reacted to the murder, calling it cynical and cruel . “The murder of Andriy Parubiy is a shot in the heart of Ukraine ,” stressed the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko.
