The Itch of Petty Managers: How the Government Trapped Itself in a Tax Snare

The ‘servants’ have yet to figure out how to escape the dilemma between their commitment to impose VAT on individual entrepreneurs and the entirely predictable consequences of enforcing it in practice. And those consequences may extend far beyond cardboard boxes.
But then the so-called “Ministry of Development” poured fuel on the fire (development of what, one wonders? So far, its effectiveness appears comparable to the ill-fated and now infamous “Ministry of Food,” which collapsed amid its head’s corruption scandal).
Against the backdrop of Bezugla’s performance and the emptiness of the sham “majority,” the Ministry of Development announced yet another initiative — a new tax. “For recovery.”
We have seen outright theft. We have seen the schemes of petty operators. And now, this.
However, one of the (conditional) adults did notice the backlash. They immediately reverted to their favourite game — denial.
“The information circulating in the media about the possible introduction of such a tax is a misinterpretation of the public discussion on financing the country’s recovery,” the First Deputy Minister concluded.
In other words, they insist that nothing has been misunderstood — the problem lies entirely with how the public interprets their communications.
Yet, knowing their habits, a very well-grounded suspicion inevitably arises — as they like to say at NABU.
What, then, is actually being planned and discussed? Too often, so-called “trial balloons” and “careless remarks” later materialise into very concrete projects and decisions.
They are just not ready to say people yet. The timing is inconvenient.
And do you know what this really means? They intend to rule in the future. To somehow legitimise themselves through the “end of the war” and “elections via Diia” — and then continue their experiments. At our expense, both directly and indirectly.
But it would be wiser not to think — or plan — in that direction at all. It is time to switch off the instinct for greed and switch on the instinct for self-preservation.
Because people have not forgotten:
– It was these pathetic managers who failed to prepare the country for a full-scale invasion;
– It was poor management that pushed the security of the front line to a critical threshold.
– It was the same pathetic managers who proved incapable of securing systemic assistance, investment programmes from the West, or proper compensation from the Russian Federation.
Under these circumstances, such managers should not contemplate tax increases on the public.
They should be preparing to leave.
“To the forest” — or to court. Each according to what they deserve.
