The Russians are preparing a new offensive: where to expect a strike

The significant concentration of the Russian occupation contingent along the front line, which stretches for 1,255 kilometers and numbers over 710,000 people, indicates the enemy’s intention to continue offensive operations, looking for vulnerabilities in the Ukrainian defense.

This assessment of the situation was given by Stepan Barna, commander of the “Barni” drone platoon of the 10th “Edelweiss” brigade.

“It is obvious that the occupier, who concentrates such a large number of troops along the defense line, will not wait and will resort to constantly searching for weak spots in the defense line in order to continue offensive actions,” the military officer emphasized on the air of “Pryamoye”, adding that we should expect increased pressure on the front.

He also noted that the enemy faces not only military but also political tasks aimed at demonstrating “victories” for the domestic consumer. These “victories” will likely be concentrated around large cities such as Pokrovsk, Kupyansk, and Siversk, regardless of the price and losses.

According to him, increased pressure from the world community, including possible new sanctions, is encouraging the enemy to take active steps. Despite significant losses, including over 1.2 million destroyed occupiers, Russian forces retain significant financial and human resources, which allows them to continue advancing, despite weather or resource constraints, Stepan Barna added.

As reported, Ukraine is entering a period of difficult fighting : in the coming months, the defense will have to withstand serious pressure from the Russian army. According to the intelligence center of the Estonian Defense Forces, the Russian troops have recently been able to advance a little, and the main direction of their strike is Pokrovsk-Mirnograd. This area is practically surrounded, and the supply lines of the Ukrainian forces are under severe pressure, the department added.

At the same time, the situation in Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region is very difficult . The enemy is actively storming the northern part of the city. Ukrainian military continues to fulfill tasks to defend the city, restraining the advance of the Russians. At the same time, information about the complete capture of Pokrovsk by the Russian occupiers is not true.
