From Grief to Crime? The Strange Tale of a Father Who Killed Andriy Parubiy

I know the mother of “Lemberg”, Mykhailo, who went missing. She is a well-known writer and photographer, and she collaborates with Espresso.
I saw Mykhailo myself. He and a group of Lviv residents joined the 206th Battalion as volunteers. The battalion was formed at the headquarters of our party on Lavrska Street. All of us—members of European Solidarity—signed up there in the beginning. Andriy Parubiy was there as well. There are photos of him in uniform, armed, manning checkpoints from those days.
Andriy, Mykhailo, and his mother Olena are all patriots of Ukraine. So is Khrystyna Parubiy, Andriy’s niece, who has repeatedly presented a book about Lemberg and events in his honor on Espresso. In fact, she and Andriy were together in the same unit at the very start of the war.
But no one knew or ever saw Lemberg’s father. He abandoned the family 27 years ago. He had another child from a second marriage, whom he also deserted, and he was facing legal proceedings for failing to pay alimony.
That is why the story of a devoted father is fiction—a carefully crafted legend. Yet it is a perfect cover for recruitment and disinformation.
By the way, today, September 2, a farewell ceremony began in Lviv for Andriy Parubiy, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 8th convocation, a people’s deputy, commandant of the Maidan Self-Defense Force, and one of the symbols of the struggle for Ukrainian Independence.
As is known, the day before, an evening of remembrance for MP Andriy Parubiy was held on Kyiv’s Independence Square. Hundreds of people, including public and political figures, gathered to honor the memory of the parliamentarian.
Recall that on August 30, public and political figure Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv. Later, it became known that the Lviv region is searching for the shooter who killed the current deputy from the “European Solidarity” party and former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy. A photo of the alleged killer is being published on the Internet.
Later, journalists reported that MP Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times by a man disguised as a courier. By the way, a video of the moment of the murder of the MP from the “European Solidarity” and former speaker of parliament, Andriy Parubiy, appeared on social networks.
Earlier, the SBU reported on the possible involvement of Russian special services in organizing the assassination attempt on MP Andriy Parubiy. In addition, on September 2, a court hearing was held in Lviv in the case of the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy. At the hearing, the suspect publicly admitted his guilt.
