According to forecasts, magnetic activity level 3 (green level) is expected on June 24. And on June 25, the storm will intensify to level 5 (red level), which means more noticeable magnetic fluctuations, and therefore may affect people who are sensitive to weather changes.

This is stated on the Meteoagent website.

It should be noted that magnetic storms are evaluated using a special indicator – the K-index, which can range from 2 to 9. The higher this index, the stronger the magnetic fluctuations and the greater their impact on human health and the operation of equipment.

Space weather forecasts are updated regularly, approximately every three hours, so the most accurate predictions can only be made a day in advance. Changes in solar activity can affect adjustments in forecasts.

What is a magnetic storm?
This is the reaction of the Earth’s magnetic field to powerful emissions on the Sun. Such storms can cause disruptions in the operation of GPS, mobile communications and other equipment, as well as cause a deterioration in the well-being of people, especially those who have chronic illnesses or are prone to weather dependence.

The main symptoms that people may experience during a magnetic storm:

– headache and dizziness

– mood changes – aggression or apathy

– exacerbation of chronic diseases

– fatigue and drowsiness during the day

– problems sleeping at night

– deterioration of concentration and productivity

How to protect yourself during a magnetic storm:

Drink more water, maintain water balance

Avoid stress and physical exertion

Limit your intake of coffee, alcohol, and energy drinks.

Eat regularly, avoid heavy, salty and spicy foods

Spend more time outdoors, ventilate rooms

Go to bed no later than 11:00 PM

Engage in quiet activities, limit screen time

People with chronic diseases should have their medications at hand

If you feel unwell, consult a doctor.
