The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to push the enemy from the south and increase pressure on the Russian occupiers near the Kinburn Peninsula. The Ukrainian military has released footage showing the national flag of Ukraine flying over Kinburn.
This was reported by Channel 24 with reference to the operational-tactical group “Odessa”.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian military not only demonstrates its presence on the peninsula, but also systematically strikes at important enemy targets.
The video shows the destruction of the control points of Russian Molniya attack drones located south of Kinburn in the area of the settlement of Ochakivske.
It was from this direction that the enemy systematically launched UAVs to attack the right-bank part of the Mykolaiv region.
An important event of this operation was the raising of the Ukrainian flag on the peninsula.
“The defense forces are carrying out a complex operation on the way to Crimea and reminding the occupiers who is the master on this land. The Ukrainian flag has appeared on the Kinburn Peninsula. This is the south of the Mykolaiv region, which was previously considered occupied,” the military noted.
The Odesa Military District emphasizes that raising the flag on the peninsula is part of a large-scale operation to reduce the combat capabilities of the Russian group on the Kinburn Spit and adjacent territories.
“Now, together with the forces and means of senior commanders from the Ukrainian Military District (s) “South”, we have practically cut off the logistics of the occupiers on the Kinburn Spit. The supply of ammunition, food and fuel has actually stopped. A soldier will not be able to fight without food and fresh water. Therefore, according to intelligence, they are currently being evacuated,” said Colonel Denis Nosikov, commander of the Odesa Special Operations Command.
In particular, the isolation of the Russian army and the destruction of logistical routes are gradually making it more difficult for the enemy to stay on the peninsula.
The defense forces add that the operation is ongoing. The unit emphasized that the entire south of Ukraine must be liberated from occupation.
In addition, the military command recalled that Crimea and the Kinburn Peninsula remain an integral part of Ukraine, and the struggle for their liberation continues.
It was previously reported that Russian military personnel began to leave the Kinburn Spit after Ukrainian forces almost completely cut off their supply of ammunition, fuel, and food.
Ukraine is also consistently striking targets in the Kerch Strait area to make it difficult for Russia to supply fuel, transfer troops, and support the occupation army in Crimea and southern Ukraine.
