“There is no cover”: Trump allowed Ukraine to launch long-range strikes on Russia

The US President’s special envoy for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, said that Donald Trump has authorized Ukraine’s right to strike deep inside Russia. This decision is also supported by leading representatives of the American administration.

He said this in an interview with Fox News .

According to Kellogg, when asked directly about the White House’s position on Ukraine’s use of long-range weapons against Russia, he confirmed that this decision was made at the presidential level.

He also noted that according to statements by Trump himself, as well as Vice President Jamie Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Washington’s official position is clear – Kyiv has the right to use modern means to strike strategic targets deep inside Russia.

“I think, having read what he said, and what Vice President Vance and Secretary Rubio said, the answer is yes. Use the ability to strike at long range. There is no cover,” Kellogg emphasized.

At the same time, the special envoy recalled that in the past there were situations when the Pentagon restricted the use of weapons provided by Ukraine for strikes on Russian territory. However, according to him, now the position of Trump and key figures in his administration is consistent and unambiguous.

Earlier, US Vice President J.D. Vance reported that discussions are ongoing in Washington regarding the possible supply of Tomahawk precision cruise missiles to Ukraine , but the final decision on this issue depends on President Donald Trump.

On the eve, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that Russia continues to kill people in Ukraine without achieving significant military results. He emphasized that Moscow refuses any bilateral or trilateral negotiations with the Ukrainian side, hindering the establishment of peace.

As is known, Ukraine has repeatedly asked the US to transfer long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles, but the White House has not yet agreed. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that the presence of Tomahawks in the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine could force the Kremlin to sit down at the negotiating table .
