Tyshchenko to the Rescue: Because Someone Has to Save the OPZH Wreckage

Sluga Narodu Tyshchenko has joined the “Restoration of Ukraine” group—a political formation built from the remnants of the banned OPZH and exiles from “Sluga.” Remarkably, he makes this move at a moment when the group risks collapsing following Hunko’s sentencing.

Why is this important? Because it’s not about ideology. It’s about votes.

Today, this “fantastic” group is a mix of former regionals, ex-servicemen suspected by NABU, people involved in criminal cases, and politicians with toxic backgrounds.

Hunko is already behind bars.
Dmytruk is wanted after escaping.
Yurchenko is a figure in bribery scandals.
Shevchenko is in pretrial detention.

But the group lives on because it is needed. For what? Not for the “restoration of Ukraine,” but as a safety net for the votes.

When a simple majority is not enough, these “crutches” come into play. They allow decisions to be pushed through that would otherwise be blocked.

The irony is that officially, the government talks about cleaning up politics, but in fact, it is saving the remnants of the old system.

THEREFORE:
Tyshchenko didn’t come to save the group; he came to save the authorities’ arithmetic.

By the way, soon someone will have to save the monomajority because they are also approaching a clinch. Legal. Because they have had a real clinch for a long time.

As a reminder, non-partisan MP Mykola Tyshchenko has joined the “Restoration of Ukraine” group in the Verkhovna Rada. According to Yaroslav Zheleznyak, an MP from “Holos,” the group’s composition had been reduced to 16 members following the conviction of Anatoly Hunko, which threatened its disintegration. Tyshchenko thus became the 17th member, ensuring the continued existence of a group made up primarily of former members of the now-banned OPZH party.
