The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces officially confirmed the destruction of the Tyumen Oil Refinery. It is located more than 2,000 km from the Ukrainian border.
As a reminder, explosions rocked Tyumen, Russia, on the afternoon of June 20. A fire was reported at a local oil refinery. The damage is being investigated, according to a statement from the General Staff.
The Tyumen Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in Western Siberia, with a capacity of approximately 7.5-9 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces diesel fuel, gasoline, and other petroleum products, including for the Russian military.
