Ukraine and the US are finalizing the agreement on a peace document: Umerov named key details

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and member of the Ukrainian delegation to the peace talks, Rustem Umerov, stated that the agreement on a peace document with the United States is in the final stage. According to him, the document already contains the main Ukrainian priorities.

According to the official, the current version of the document, although it is in the final stage of coordination, already reflects most of Ukraine’s key priorities.
“We highly appreciate the constructive interaction with the United States and their attentive attitude to our comments – this allows us to move forward in the joint process,” said Rustem Umerov.
The representative of the Ukrainian delegation emphasized that interaction with the United States takes place in a constructive format. All comments from the Ukrainian side are considered promptly, which allows the parties to move forward in the joint coordination process.
He also reported that work on the document is ongoing intensively. The Ukrainian side expects progress to be made during the current day.
As is known, on Sunday, November 23, negotiations between the US, Ukraine and the EU regarding Donald Trump’s new “peace plan” will be held in Geneva (Switzerland). The purpose of the meeting is to agree on the wording for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the US.
A group of Western leaders released a joint statement on the initial draft of the US peace plan for Ukraine on Tuesday. They stressed that the document could serve as a basis for work, but needed to be refined.
Earlier, key provisions of the draft US “peace plan” , allegedly agreed upon by representatives of Donald Trump and the Kremlin, became known. The document contains 28 points relating to the security, territories, economy and political future of Ukraine.
Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the composition of the delegation for consultations with international partners on ending the war.
