Ukraine celebrates Air Force Day: Zelensky congratulates soldiers

Every first Sunday of August, Ukraine celebrates an important holiday – Air Force Day.
On this occasion, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy published a congratulatory video on his Telegram channel.
“Over the years of war, our Air Force has become significantly stronger. We have acquired modern combat aircraft and effective air defense systems. These systems are not yet sufficient to shield our entire skies from Russian missiles, but today, Ukraine’s air defense is already one of the strongest in Europe,” the president wrote in his congratulatory message.
Earlier, Pryamyi reported that Ukraine would allocate 2.5 billion euros from a European Union loan to purchase 16 Swedish Gripen E fighter jets.
