Ukrzaliznytsia warned of major train delays due to Russian attacks.

Ukrzaliznytsia has not cancelled any services due to Russian attacks or air raids, but trains across Ukraine are experiencing significant delays.

This was announced by the head of communications and marketing for the company’s passenger division, Alexander Shevchenko.

According to him, delays could continue at least through the night of August 27 and the following day. Service is stopped only in cases of immediate threat to a specific train, but the large number of such situations can cause cascading delays throughout the entire network.

Ukrzaliznytsia also warned of the possible “cutting” of certain routes. This means that passengers may request a transfer on the final leg of the journey, and the class of carriage may differ from the ticket purchased due to the use of available rolling stock.

Passengers are advised to monitor information on the uz-vezemo portal and the Ukrzaliznytsia app. If a specific train isn’t yet listed, it may be due to a delay for another train scheduled to arrive at its final station before its next departure.

By the morning of August 28, paid waiting rooms at all Ukrainian train stations were made free. Passengers can get free water and tea at the “Fortresses of Invincibility.”

World Central Kitchen provides meals to passengers whose trains are delayed for more than five hours.

If a passenger is unable to board due to a delay, they can use the refund claim service on the Ukrzaliznytsia website. To do this, submit an online claim, attach documents confirming the reason for the refund, and sign it using the “Action. Signature” option.
