On Sunday, November 23, talks between the US, Ukraine, and the EU on Donald Trump’s new “peace plan” will be held in Geneva, Switzerland. The goal of the meeting is to agree on wording for the upcoming meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and the US.
This is reported by CNN .
According to journalists, US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and his team arrived in Geneva to hold meetings with senior officials on further steps towards peace.
Sources report that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Donald Trump’s special representative Steve Witkoff will join the talks tomorrow.
“The goal is to agree on wording for the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump,” the interlocutor noted.
According to Sudostschweiz , national security advisers from France, Britain, and Germany, as well as representatives from the United States and Ukraine, will be in Geneva.
The Ukrainian side will be represented in the negotiations by the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, and Rustem Umerov, and the American side will be represented by Dan Driscoll, Steve Witkoff, and Marco Rubio.
The sources added that a separate meeting between the Russian and American delegations is planned to discuss the proposed plan. It will “take place quickly,” but not in Geneva, and the location and date have not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, the key provisions of the draft US “peace plan” , allegedly agreed upon by representatives of Donald Trump and the Kremlin, became known. The document contains 28 points relating to the security, territories, economy and political future of Ukraine.
Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the composition of the delegation for consultations with international partners on ending the war.
At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War stated that the “peace plan” of the US and Russia, which allegedly consists of 28 points, means the actual surrender of Ukraine and creates conditions for new aggression by the Russian Federation. Analysts emphasize that the document deprives Ukraine of key defensive positions and does not offer any real guarantees.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation with a statement, stressing that the country is going through one of the most difficult periods in its recent history. He noted that the state is under unprecedented pressure and that a difficult choice may lie ahead.
