Vinnytsia plunged into a complete blackout: what other cities were attacked by Russians?

As a result of the massive Russian strike, Vinnytsia was left completely without power. Furthermore, the Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih with ballistic and cruise missiles.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov reported a complete power outage. He said critical infrastructure is operating on backup power.

Also on the night of October 17, Russian forces launched 17 ballistic and 7 cruise missiles at Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih. Air defense forces shot down four cruise missiles and none of the ballistic missiles. According to the State Emergency Service, residential buildings were damaged in Zaporizhzhia, and five people were injured, including a child.

According to Suspilne, one of the damaged buildings has been shelled by the occupiers for the fourth time; people only moved into the restored high-rise building in April 2026.

As a reminder, on October 16, Russians launched a massive attack on the Volyn and Rivne regions using attack drones.
