The recent release from pretrial detention of three former employees of the State Security Department, a NABU detective, and the easing of the regime for Colonel Chervinsky are related to the changes on Bankova Street. However, Andriy Yermak still retains influence over the power structures.
This opinion was expressed on the air of “Pryamoy” by political scientist Volodymyr Tsybulko.
According to him, these events may indicate a decrease in influence on the judicial branch of government, which previously probably operated under pressure.
“This dismissal, the dismissal of NABU detective Maghamedrasulov and the easing of the regime for Colonel Chervinsky – all of this is due to Yermak’s resignation,” Tsybulko clarified.
At the same time, he expressed surprise at the lack of arrest of the person whose name is associated with the aforementioned changes, despite the searches conducted. The political scientist suggested that this person could have provided himself with a kind of protection by working for the Foreign Intelligence Service.
This situation, according to Volodymyr Tsybulko, indicates a distorted system of public administration. A new head of the President’s Office has not been appointed yet, which may reflect the reluctance of the current head of state to change the system of concentration of power, where an influential figure remains a significant manipulator, even without holding the previous position, the studio guest explains.
Meanwhile , “de-Yermakization” is underway in Ukraine – this is how people’s deputies commented on the release from pre-trial detention of three former employees of the State Security Department, who were demanded to slander the fifth president Petro Poroshenko in a case fabricated based on Russian FSB materials.
In addition, lawyer Kostyantyn Globa previously reported that the court changed the preventive measure of former employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate Roman Chervinsky from 24-hour house arrest to night house arrest.
Chervinsky himself links the change of his preventive measure from 24-hour to nightly house arrest with the dismissal of Andriy Yermak from the post of head of the President’s Office. On the air of “Pryamoy”, the counterintelligence officer stated that the judges are tired of carrying out Bankova’s instructions , and the pressure on them has significantly weakened.
