Council of Europe has called Russia to ensure safe passage of humanitarian convoys and aid deliverance to Mariupol and other currently besieged cities.
“Russia strikes civil population and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, medical installations, schools, and harbors. These war crimes have to stop immediately. Those responsible, and associated to them, will be prosecuted according to international law. Siege of Mariupol and other cities, as well as humanitarian aid access refusal from the Russian side is inacceptable. Russian forces must provide safe passages to other regions of Ukraine and humanitarian aid deliverance to Mariupol and other sieged cities “, says European Council’s summary.
European Council has also called Russia to keep their international law commitments and demands, that Russia must stop the war, withdraws troops and vehicles from Ukraine, and respects their territorial integrity and sovereignty.
European Council also calls every country to join the sanctions against Russia.
