Ukrzaliznytsia has published a clear algorithm of actions for passengers and staff in the event of conflicts or security threats on trains. The document helps to respond to incidents in a timely manner and ensures coordination with the police and security.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine .
According to conductor Serhiy Ripa, conflicts on trains are rare, but the staff is ready to respond promptly. In the event of an escalation of the situation, the conductor immediately informs the train commander, who makes further decisions.
“The main rule for passengers in the event of a threat of violence, harassment, or other illegal actions is to listen to and follow the instructions of conductors who are trained to act in emergency situations,” Ripa emphasized.
The algorithm of actions includes:
- The passenger immediately notifies the conductor, who is in contact with the train conductor and security;
- In new cars, you can press the “panic button” above the compartment door;
- You can apply via the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile application or by email;
- If possible, it is recommended to record the incident on video or a voice recorder;
- The conductor seats the participants in the conflict in different compartments;
- The train conductor suggests calling the police to the nearest station;
- The police will draw up a report and may detain the offender.
In case of inappropriate response from the staff, passengers can contact the contact center at: 0800 503 111.
During a threat due to hostilities, conductors are guided by the instructions and instructions of the train commander.
Recommendations for passengers:
- Clearly follow the instructions of the guides;
- During an alarm at the station, be informed about possible route or transportation changes;
- Follow the messages in the mobile application and on the official resources of Ukrzaliznytsia.
These algorithms allow for quick response to conflicts and ensure the safety of passengers on trains.
