The Ukrainian Navy has not confirmed the information about the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Kinburn Spit. According to the military, the territory remains a combat zone and is of strategic importance for the occupiers.
This was reported by Suspilne with reference to the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
“We are now observing the process of destroying Russian logistics. This has been happening consistently for several years. But as of now, the Kinburn Spit is a combat zone,” Pletenchuk emphasized.
He added that the Kinburn Spit remains strategically important for Russian troops.
The day before, the Regional Directorate of the Territorial Defense Forces “South” released a video showing Ukrainian military personnel raising a blue-and-yellow flag on the Kinburn Spit. The video’s caption stated that the Russian occupiers had allegedly retreated from their occupied positions.
However, the Navy emphasizes that there is currently no reason to talk about the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Kinburn Spit.
It was previously reported that Russian military personnel began leaving the Kinburn Spit after Ukrainian forces almost completely cut off their supply of ammunition, fuel, and food.
Ukraine is also consistently striking targets in the Kerch Strait area to make it difficult for Russia to supply fuel, transfer troops, and support the occupation army in Crimea and southern Ukraine.
