Russian troops began to leave the Kinburn Spit after Ukrainian forces almost completely cut off their supply of ammunition, fuel, and food.
This was stated by the commander of the “Odessa” operational-tactical group, Denis Nosikov, in an interview with Channel 24.
According to him, the Ukrainian military, together with units of the “South” group of forces, are systematically striking at the logistics of the occupiers on the Kinburn Spit.
“Now we have practically cut off the logistics of the occupiers on the spit. The supply of ammunition, food, and fuel has actually stopped. A soldier will not be able to fight without food and fresh water. Therefore, according to intelligence, they are currently being evacuated,” Nosikov said.
He also noted that Ukrainian defenders regularly destroy Russian artillery. According to the commander, every time the occupiers try to bring up new guns at night or during fog, the Ukrainian military detects and hits them. For this, they use, in particular, medium-range drones.
Nosikov stressed that the liberation of the Kinburn Spit is of great importance. He added that for him personally this direction is symbolic, because the path to his native Crimea runs through the spit.
It was previously reported that Russian units have begun to abandon some of their positions on the Kinburn Spit in the Mykolaiv region. These are areas near the coastline in the north and west of the territory.
As a reminder, Ukraine has been consistently striking targets in the Kerch Strait area to make it difficult for Russia to supply fuel , transfer troops, and support the occupation army in Crimea and southern Ukraine.
