After Trump: Are Vance or Rubio Next—and Is the World Ready?

It is now becoming clear why Marco Rubio has so forcefully rejected claims that the Trump administration would demand Kyiv cede eastern Donbas to Russia in exchange for U.S. security guarantees.
Marco launched his 2028 presidential campaign. And he personally definitely doesn’t need the filth of a “leader who scatters around foreign territories to the delight of the aggressor.” Let Trump and Vance deal with that.)
So, The Guardian describes the results of the Conservative meeting held on Saturday, March 28.
There are some very interesting numbers there that catch my eye, as someone who has worked in political communications and elections for many years.
According to a recent poll of more than 1,600 delegates, 53% supported Vice President J.D. Vance as the future Republican nominee for president in the 2028 election. Secretary of State Marco Rubio came in a close second with 35%.
Interestingly, Rubio showed a phenomenal result here.
I quote the newspaper:
“At last year’s CPAC gathering in Maryland, Vance also led the poll with 61% of the vote, followed by Steve Bannon with 12%. Bannon is a right-wing podcaster who was an advisor to Trump during his first term. Last year, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis received 7%.
Rubio received only 3% of the vote at last year’s CPAC, but his popularity among the right has grown due to his central role in US foreign policy, including US military operations, political maneuvering, and his establishment of close ties with foreign far-right leaders.
So, in essence, American conservatives are looking for a leader to replace Trump, who will finally retire.
On the positive side, Steve Bannon lost in numbers. And that’s good, because it was this person who was making these about the need to stop military and financial aid to Ukraine right away. Otherwise, it’s a new Vietnam for the US.
This is the man who was throwing punches at the same CPAC convention.
Why did his rating drop so much? And thanks to the Epstein files.
It was there that it became clear that Bannon wanted to smear Pope Francis. And it was Epstein who informed him about the progress of Jagland’s negotiations with Putin and Lavrov. All this happened before the 2018 Helsinki summit, where Putin and Trump met. The conservative turned out to be just that rotten thing, with the smell of Russian influences and an unhealthy love for children.
And now to Rubio and Vance.
According to Reuters, this year’s poll shows a consolidation of support among conservatives around Vance and Rubio. No other candidate in the poll received more than 2% of the vote.
So these two are real contenders for Republican leadership. Rubio is a systemic politician, and that’s why he attracted a new audience after experiments with Musk and other trash. Vance – knows how to attract huge amounts of money from Till and his ilk.
Therefore, we need to take these new faces into account now. So that it is not too late in 2028.
So yes, Rubio will make a lot of “mitigating” statements about his leader’s policies. He needs to increase his rating. Our side needs to take this into account when thinking about these for an appeal or refutation. So as not to harm yourself.
If Vance is arrogant and very ambitious, then Marco is a very cunning politician who has spent his entire career choosing his allies, his words, and his moments. The intrigue of who will be the leader of the Republicans is very interesting. American analysts note that for the last year, Rubio has been actively winning over the MAGA audience to his side. Vance is afraid of him because, at a Vanity Fair photo shoot, he joked that he would give 1,000 bucks if Marco’s photo in the cabinet photos were worse than his. Rubio is really photogenic.
